Founder’s BIO

Yovena Pierre-Louis is the founder of Woman of Sychar Ministry, establishes in the year of 2020.  Yovena grew up in Haiti with a loving family and immigrated to the United States in search of a better life.  Her initiative is to empower women, supporting children and single mothers to thrive, and providing spiritual inspiration to unlock their true potential.   Woman of Sychar Ministry is a nonprofit organization committed to provide here and abroad shelter, necessary resources, and education to stop poverty among women, children, and single mothers; to become the best version of themselves and to establish their lifestyle. Yovena owned a Daycare facility  for almost a decade in Bridgeport, CT and has helped many single mothers to find jobs while providing free daycare for their children. Yovena has taught in Bridgeport Public schools in CT, Charter schools in CT, school districts in PA and currently works as an Early Childhood educator. Yovena  holds a B.A in Psychology and children’s studies, a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies, and a Master in Education degree.  Her most valued role is being the mother of two sons, Anthony and Jeremiah.
